After what seemed like hours, I heard the door unlocking and I looked up. One of the men entered carrying a bottle of water, the second following him with a backpack. I struggled feebly at the cuffs securing me, but I was too exhausted from my earlier struggle to do much of anything useful.
"Aw, all work out?" The man holding the water bottle smirked, walking over to me and harshly pulled the cloth and tape from my mouth while the second went behind me, undoing the tie. I spat out the cloth wadded up in my mouth and I looked over at my kidnappers.

They left me bound and gagged minimally for awhile, and while it was far from comfortable, it was a lot better than the chair had been. I had been so constrained by the straps and gag, and the way that they had dug into my body was so much worse than the scarves that held me now.
